Services

The Red Lodge Airport partners with many of the Red Lodge departments. Find out more below.

Public Services

Emergency response and regional support.

Firefighting
The Red Lodge Fire Department provides fire protection services to the town and surrounding areas. The department has two stations and a staff of volunteer firefighters.
Search & Rescue
The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team is based in Red Lodge and provides search and rescue services to the county. The team includes trained volunteers who respond to emergencies such as lost hikers or missing persons.
Flood & Disaster
The Carbon County Disaster and Emergency Services (DES) department provides emergency management services to the town and surrounding areas. The DES works to mitigate the effects of natural disasters such as floods, wildfires, and severe weather events.
National Guard
The Montana Army National Guard has a base in Billings, which is approximately 60 miles from Red Lodge. The National Guard can be called upon to provide support during emergencies or natural disasters in the town and surrounding areas.

Hospital Balls
Some pilots allow their hangers to be rented out for events such as hospital balls or other formal gatherings.
Carshow Drag Races
The airport hosts the annual Red Lodge Rumble car show and drag race event, which takes place on the airport runway and attracts classic car enthusiasts from around the region.
Graduations
The airport can be used as a venue for high school graduations or other school-related events.
Air Ambulance Life Flight
The airport serves as a base of operations for air ambulance services, including Life Flight Network. The airport’s runway and facilities allow for efficient loading and unloading of patients and equipment.
